How to Choose the Right Furniture for your Room Spaces

The classic mistake when selecting furniture is to buy on an emotional whim. It is like shopping for clothes but more expensive. So, it is important to remain focused, reviewing the evaluation process, your vision board and your lifestyle requirements.

Approaching this step objectively will help you to avoid making mistakes - the item of furniture may be too large, too soft or hard or maybe you just don’t like the piece of furniture - the colour, or style.

In this Step you will review your existing furniture and objectively decide whether you keep the furniture you have or let it go. You will be assessing whether your existing furniture fits into your new scheme.

So, it’s revamp, restore, or replace. And/or change the use and position of the furniture.

You will learn how to select items, decide what to keep and what to buy taking into account the size and design of your furniture for the room space.

Once you have made you selection you are then in a position to place the furniture. With this in mind you must consider the activities that take place in the room spaces. I provide examples for you to follow in the living room, dining room and bedroom spaces.

I have also included a furniture schedule to enable you to record what furniture goes where and when. More on that later.
