In this Step, you will learn how to use colour, understand the theory and also the meaning of colour.
Colour is the first thing we see when entering a Space, so we want to choose a colour scheme that we feel uplifted by and at the same time will suit the purpose and function of the room.
Your colour scheme may be influenced by existing elements such as art or an existing sofa/chair.
It does take experience but I will teach you how to discern what the colour is made up of. For example, there are a myriad of whites some colder or warmer than others depending on the mix of hues.
I emphasise to view all of your colour samples and paint samples on site so you can see how the fabric, texture or paint sample reacts to the variances of light.
I then introduce you to the use of colour. Working with colour takes into consideration the function of the room and also the impact of the where the colour is placed. Aspect is considered and using colour to manipulate the proportion of a room.
In this step you will also learn how to use the colour wheel to utilise the various hue combinations to create harmonious schemes.
