In Step 7, you will learn how to develop a textile palette for your scheme.
I will guide you with the selection and placement of fabrics on furniture and window treatment taking into account acoustic and light control.
You will also learn how to mix, layer and create a luxurious tactile palette for your scheme.
The evaluation process can be used but I emphasize here to release your creativity now that you have most of the parameters in place. I take you through the process of collating your fabrics and ask that you utilize your Vision Board that you created in Step 1 to help you make your choices.
You will learn how to choose your window treatments choosing how you want the fabric to fall, how much filtered light you would like and how formal or informal you window treatment will be.
For furniture the upholstery fabric is chosen to add texture and color to the form and line of the chair.
You will also learn what makes a good upholstery job and take into account the addition of accessory cushions.
The layering of texture, color and mixing of fabric patterns and colors adds to the richness and vitality of your scheme.
