Arithmetic Innovation

Designed for curious chess beginners. Course applies a "numbers" approach to learning chess. Uses a small arithmetic innovation. Expect to be challenged as to getting the exact numbers right. The idea is to look at positions and apply the simple yet challenging math steps, getting answers, working with visuals of the pieces, logically.

Videos always start with the instructor's app, which is optional for those who have iPhone or iPad.

Next, we move on to viewing a second app, applying the innovative arithmetic formula. Getting creative. Working the memory. Learning chess.

Pace is easy and clear.

Please feel free to ask questions.

Since the course is about testing interest, the total duration is between 30 and 40 minutes. Divided into 4 sections and 5 lectures.

Section 1 contains Lecture 1. Lecture teaches you how to do the arithmetic innovation. And teaches you how to do it against a real game.

Section 2 contains Lecture 2. Lecture 2 builds on Lecture 1, adding on a new element. The new element involves dividing a real game into sections or quarters, simplifying calculations.

Section 3 contains Lectures 3 and 4. Lecture 3 and 4 both continue the idea of dividing and simplifying the chessboard. The main idea is to find ways to get to the right numbers, doing so efficiently.

Section 4 contain Lecture 5. In Lecture 5 everything is pulled together. The aim is to distinguish between pieces. At this stage, you can use any of the previous lectures to get to the right numbers, understand what pieces look like and how to create short cuts to find the right numbers.

The instructor welcomes questions. Although the speaking pace is not fast some students may want to get clarification when stuck. Once you know how to apply the technique, your skill and timing improves. Like breathing.

The instructor aims to get back to students within not more than 3 business days. Please bear in mind the instructor lives in Australia. And so, the time difference could impact that.

If you have any ideas about future courses or concepts please feel free to discuss.
