This course will examine, in order, the original document of the constitution and its history, the bill of rights, judicial review, and then case studies and a deeper look into the bill of rights. By the end of the course the student will be able to explain the original document and its 7 articles while giving historical context. The student will understand the Bill of Rights and the rights this document instills. The student will be able to give real world examples of case studies and events involving rights violations. Lastly the student will understand and be able to explain the introduction, history and implementation of Marbury v. Madison and Judicial Review, the Supreme Courts most influential tool!

With the body of the Constitution and its individual articles covered as well as the amendments examined in relation to real work cases you will be able to have an introductory knowledge above the average individual pertaining to the document that structures our government, protects our citizens, and provides boundaries for everyone within the United States boarders.
