Designing specifically for linocut can seem tricky and daunting but we will discuss many common hurdles and tackle them together! We’ll cover concepts like working with a flipped image positive vs. negative space static vs. kinetic design and balance of design elements. You don’t need any experience or knowledge of printmaking to take this class only a curiosity about linocut! The only tools you will need for PART 1 are paper pencil a wooden spoon and your linocut block (optional: one piece of carbon paper).
