The CIPP/E Certification is recognized in the privacy profession as an essential privacy certification. It shows that you not only understand the EU data protection laws and regulations but you also have the knowledge to help companies comply with the GDPR. The CIPP/E was recently updated and includes new content (Machine learning and Artificial Intelligence; Ethics related to AI; International Data Transfers; Consequences for GDPR Violations:Class Actions) that comprises 10% of the exam. Having the CIPP/E Certification also increases your chances of getting hired for a privacy role as employers prefer to hire professionals who are knowledgeable about privacy or data protection.
NOTE: You will need to know the key GDPR components including the reasons for the enactment of the law, the scope of the law, the obligations of data controllers and processors, the DPO requirements and the fines for non-compliance before you enroll in the course.
