Exploring Integral Hatha Yoga Postures with Nina Saacks and Jennifer Stephens

In this course with Jennifer Stephens you will gain deeper insight into the practice of Hatha Yoga.

We take our time as we explore some of the fundamental postures we use in our daily Yoga practice. These postures are often overlooked and Jennifer will return our focus to the vital aspects of each posture, bringing attention to those areas that can do with refining. We will bring a sense of awareness to areas of discomfort in our body, listening to those little mutterings that are craving your attention and need to be addressed before they cause you harm and possible injury.

Take time with the following classic postures to observe how you feel, physical adaptations that you may need to make for yourself at this point in time, adaptations that your students may need to make so that the practice of the postures can be done with Ahimsa (non violence).

The following postures will be addressed in this course:

Samastiti (Easy Standing Pose)

Virabhadrasana I & II (Warrior I & II)

Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose)

Dvi Pada Pitham (Bridge Pose)

Savasana (Corpse Pose) & Sectional Breathing

When we practice our asanas (physical yoga postures) we should be able to do them dynamically, hold them statically, work symmetrically after having work asymmetrically and doing so in a manner that leads us to sukha (comfort) and sthira (steadiness)

When we slow things down, take a look at how we are doing, when we start to inquire within to find out where the resistance is sitting or building up we become a lot more aware and awake. We're able to adapt, change and make headway in our practice. Take time with this course and enjoy the beautiful, gentle guidance Jennifer offers.

This is an ideal course for Yoga Students wanting to gain a deeper understanding of Yoga postures, how to practice them safely and with deeper insight.
