In this class you’ll learn to incorporate spray paint to create loose gestural marks for an expressive floral acrylic painting. This class is suited for beginners new to painting a floral still life as well as advanced students looking to add new techniques in their own process. Whether it’s your first or one hundredth painting putting down the first mark can be the most intimidating. Using spray paint will allow you to loosen up and freely create expressive marks. We’ll also explore composition ways to move paint without a brush defining our subject using negative space and using abstraction for impact. While this class focuses on flowers the techniques you’ll learn can be applied to a variety of subjects and painting styles.
