We will be using my own photograph that I took in my Mom’s garden to paint this illustration.

I will be teaching the different techniques like, wet on wet, layering, wet on dry, blending and detailing that are helpful in painting realistic flower illustrations. I will be taking them step by step in a easy way so they will also get an idea on how to paint looking at a reference.

It is preferable that students have some prior knowledge of working with watercolors before they start with this painting.

After taking this class students will be able to paint their own bird of paradise flower illustrations.

After taking the class the students can submit the same painting using the process taught and do it as their class project.
