Key Ideas that change the team’s perspective, leading to an improved performance

Do you fear leading a team? Do you hesitate to provide feedback to your team members? Do you feel that your delegation style does not get the work done? Do you sense that your team does not work up to or beyond their potential? If you answered 'Yes' to any of the above questions, this course is definitely for you.

Most people climb corporate ladder from technical role to team management role. Technical role demands individual's best performance whereas team management role demands leader's ability to ensure the best performance from the team while balancing all the constraints. If you do not have the right thought process to lead a team, your learning would be slow, cumbersome and challenging. The course is an initiative to bridge such a gap. Let me provide further details in Q&A manner.

1- Why the course material so short? Brevity [minimum possible video length] is a design feature and not a flaw. Capsuling years of knowledge in 50 minutes course was a demanding yet worth doing experience. Intention is to share a mental framework that's crisp, robust, easy to recall and free of jargons. You can explore deeper into each idea as per your specific need and curiosity.

2- What are the key principles that make humans stay focused and resilient while working in team? This course is an attempt to answer this question. The list contains principles that were personally used and validated over the years in the real team environment. But the list is sufficient for anyone to start making an impact in their current ecosystem.

3- What’s the basis of these principles? Basis is my personal and professional experiences. In 15+ years of my professional work life, I was a Team Lead for 4 years and an Engineering Manager for 6 years. These roles provided opportunities to lead teams (sizing from 7 to 65 people) in various domains such as Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering and Test Automation. Those experiences made me learn all these principles, apply them in the team environment and judge their impact. My team’s performance always surpassed the ecosystems defined benchmarks. My journey to learn and refine these principles took years due to lack of a consolidated body of knowledge. This course curates all those learnings in principles form so that any learner around the globe could design a system that performs better than average.

4- What is a leader's most important task while leading a team? In my opinion, he must design a system that works to achieve the goals at hand. The discussed principles may sound very simple, but they are immensely effective. For you to believe in their powers, you must actively look for the opportunities to apply them, reflect on the feedback so that your learning is reinforced.

With the help of this course, you have the unique opportunity to learn one of the important life skills in a very short span. The material is comprehensive, structured, and full of horse sense.  I enjoyed curating it and trust that you will enjoy learning from it.

Welcome Onboard. And, I wish you a joyful learning experience!!!
