Bujinkan Ikari Dōjō Online (武神館奭道場) presents longsword variations for kenjutsu, a martial art of the Samurai. Ikari Dōjō (Majestic Hall 奭道場) is affiliated with the Bujinkan organisation (Divine Warrior Temple 武神館). The Bujinkan teaches Budō Taijutsu (Classical Martial Arts of the Way of War 武道體術) and is based in Noda, Japan, and headed by grandmaster Masaaki Hatsumi. Longsword Variations 1 falls under the Gyokko-ryu school and explores variations of techniques and concepts for the Japanese longsword including evasion and counter attack, deflection, closing distance, understanding attack angles , close combat and sword grappling. This course is an extension to the core curriculum of Kenjutsu - Longsword Foundation and Kenjutsu - Intermediate Longsword.

Henka or variations are a training tool used to further study a certain area of martial arts techniques. These variations are derived from experience and the core curriculum. This course is part of a new series of additional study material for the Japanese longsword.
