This workshop is made for the beginner reader and writer of poetry or those at the intermediate level. Truly, the information included in the course can be used throughout your poetic career to freshen up on basics and remember your poetic roots. There are included downloadable materials to refer back to whenever the need hits.

You will evaluate works of poetry in terms of form and/or technique while implementing key terms, devices, and techniques to create original works of poetry. Meter and rhythm, alliteration and consonance, rhymed lyric poetry and narrative free-verse, and more to help you find, nurture, and grow in poetry! Through review and revision, and the absorption of learned ideas, techniques, and devices, you will create seven (7) original works of poetry worthy of your poetry portfolio, of which three (3) will be revised poems closer to publication - all poetry is in revision until published!
