1. BE SUCCESSFUL - AMAZON SELLER

It is very important in today's life to be online, especially for traditional businesses.

So in this course we will guide you step by step to how to grow your business on amazon.


2. GETTING STARTED - CREATING ACCOUNT - REGISTRATION PROCESS:


Creating an account: There are absolutely no charges to register on amazon, anyone can become amazon seller for free and the whole registration process takes 15-20 mins provided you have all the documents ready.

List of Documents : GST, Bank Details, Pan Card, Sign on a blank Paper.

GST no. is important to sell on amazon or any other marketplace, so if you don't have a GST, please apply for it and then continue with this course.

For the seller who has GST no. great… we are good to go.

A complete account setup session. This is for new sellers. Rest all the lectures are for both new and old sellers who are looking to grow their businesses.

3. SELLER DASHBOARD OVERVIEW:


After your account is created, your seller dashboard appears. This is the place you will operate as an amazon seller. All your business related data will be shown here. Few important things in the seller dashboard are account health, buy box, deals, coupons & ads manager.

Account Health: It is very important to keep your account health good. There are many things like late dispatch, negative reviews which affect your account health. Always keep your account health positive.

Buy Box: The term buy box means getting buy now option to your product. There are many criteria where amazon decides to give you a buy box or not. It is very important to have a buybox to get sales. All new sellers, you get your buybox quickly

Deals, Coupons & Ad manager: Promotion is important to bring sales. This all comes under promotion. All 3 things have their own pros and cons.


4. PRODUCT TO SELL


Deciding which product to sell on amazon:

Amazon deals with all categories and each category has some best products. All Categories have more sub categories. Every product belongs to the minimum 2 categories for amazon.

Amazon has millions of products. Some products get good sales and some don’t. The main point to keep in mind while being on Amazon is, the cheaper your products are, the more sales you get. Buyers come on amazon to get good products for less price. Even amazon advertises itself as buying good products for less price. So price point is important on amazon.

Secondly product images play an important role in a buyer's decision of purchasing your product.


5. AMAZON'S FEES


All categories have different commission percentages. With commission there are more fees amazon charges us on our product such as closing fees, shipping fees and many more. Amazon helps sellers to calculate all this commission and fees with its own amazon calculator.


6. CATEGORY & BRAND APPROVAL


So you have completed 4 chapters successfully and now it's time to hit the road i.e. listing your product. There are 2 types of product uploading: single listing and bulk listing. Before uploading products, sellers have to take category approval to sell in that particular category.

To take the category approval, you have to do the following steps:

After you get your category approval it's time for brand registration.

Brand registration consists of GTIN exceptions.


7. LISTING YOUR PRODUCTS


  1. Manual listing

  2. Flat file listing

After listing is done, it's important to optimize it with the help of bullet points and description and perfect title. All these 3 things should consist of good keywords to get your product visibility.

for a new product to find good keywords for your product, go on amazon website and search for keywords related to your product.


8. ORDER RETURNS


Returns are very bad for online business and controlling them is equally important. If you get a good sale but you don't control the return, you won't be able to grow your business.

Reduction tips: to grow business, efforts are required from the seller also. For each order amazon provides customers phone no. with the order details, call each n every buyer to confirm his/her order and confirm address too. If you are selling any item which has a size i.e. shoes, clothing. Confirm that too in advance. The reason behind this is 50% returns are because of undelivered orders, so address confirmation can return that rate and 30-40% of returns are because of wrong size, which we can get control of.

Now talking about Safe-T Claim: Safe-t Claims helps you to get money for the product which in return gets damaged or the buyer sends you the wrong product. In damaged products amazon gives a claim up to 50% and in wrong products amazon gives 100%.


9. LOGISTICS


Final stage for order processing, that is shipment of the product. In this chapter we will teach you types of shipment available in amazon and which ones are good for online business.

After listing your product, you will start getting orders. The next step is shipment of your product. Amazon has 2 types of shipment.

1. EasyShip - Amazon shipment

2. SelfShip- Sellers shipment

  1. In Easyship, all the orders will be picked up by amazon courier partner from your office or warehouse. And all your product will be shipped by amazon written on your product, which increases buyers trust. Amazon gives you both prepaid and COD orders.

  2. In SelfShip, all the orders have to be delivered by you via your shipment sources or India post and you have to provide a valid tracking id to the product after shipment. Amazon gives you only prepaid orders

As a new seller, you have to decide between both and do the following process to select one of them. Shipment options can be changed later too.


10. CAMPAIGN MANAGER


Advertisements play an important role in growing online business, ads help your product to get visibility. It helps your product to come on the top of the search and it gets you to report about your product performance and what customers are searching when your product is displayed.


11. CAMPAIGN MANAGER - AUTOMATIC ADVERTISE


As a new seller, amazon gives you 2000 rs to spend on ads for free. In automatic ads, you give amazon some certain amount and amazon advertise by himself and try to give you sales. It is the easiest form of advertisement.


12. CAMPAIGN MANAGER - MANUAL ADVERTISE


As you do automatic ads, amazon gives you a report for the ad about where he has spent the daily amount. In the reports you get search terms, product targets which helps us to create a manual ad.

Manual ads are of 2 types: Keywords and product targeting.

From the report , we can create keywords targeting manual ads or product targeting manual ads.

There is even negative keyword targeting and negative keyword targeting . i'll show you how to make manual ads and how to use negative keywords and targeting

Advertising has ACoS, which is important to understand. Come to the next video and we will discuss ACoS.


13. ACOS (ADVERTISING COST OF SALE)


ASoC or known as Advertising cost of sale is measured as selling value product divided by ads cost. For example: your selling price is 1000 and ad cost is 100, then your ASoC is 10%. It is very important to keep ASoC in control, as ads cost comes under the profit margin, if ads cost goes up, your profit margin comes down. To keep ASoC maintained, keep track of your advertisement on a daily basis. Change ads accordingly. Any ad not performing well, pause it and make a new campaign. The less the ASoC, the more than the profit margin left for you.


14. BUSINESS REPORTS


Amazon shares with you each and every report relating to your account including sales report, payment report, seller commission reports, advertising reports. Reports help sellers to go through the business and change accordingly.
