Welcome to World Music 103!
This course is, indeed, about training the ear, which means learning how to identify the sound qualities of intervals and chords (which are the foundations of melodies and harmonies respectively) without knowing the exact key they are in, which is impossible if one does not possess absolute pitch.
Also, you will learn how to 'steal like an artist', or create what is known as "type beats" in genres far outreaching just Hip-Hop and R&B. Creating a song similar to that one stuck in your head has never been easier!
If you have not taken the first two courses, I highly recommend it, but those who have already mastered (or at least have a basic understanding of) music theory and chords but still need help with training their ear, this is the perfect course to take. I strive to offer all of my courses in a friendly manner that still delivers the most essential information instead of long, drawn-out, expensive courses. This course is only a couple hours in length and you will still get the information necessary, even if you have not taken any college courses in music, to make your songs many times better by mastering the most essential concepts of the science of music.
